The true definition of luxury: Vengeance By Kahn

Dec 2, 2021

By

Distinguished and timeless, the Vengeance by Kahn is a thought-provoking amalgamation of sophistication, engineering, refinement and technology.

Initially revealed to much acclaim at the Geneva Motor Show and then showcased at the Top Marques Show in Monaco, the Vengeance is a state of the art, coach-built, handcrafted hammer formed aluminium vehicle.

Vengeance

Having loved and admired Aston Martin vehicles for many years, Afzal Kahn decided to build the vehicle of his dreams and created a stunning coach-built vehicle in the form of the Vengeance, a two door retro classic coupe.

Quite simply, Mr Kahn has fulfilled his lifelong ambition to create a car he has deemed worthy to drive.

He said: “launching the Vengeance is the realisation of a dream I’ve had since childhood, to design and produce my own car. I’ve worked in the industry my whole career, and I want to leave a legacy which I can be proud of.

“The design has gone through several iterations over the years and I’ve taken my time in selecting the right partners to prototype and manufacture the car, ensuring it represents the pinnacle of quality and perfection.”

Design

The idea came about in 2006, and in 2013 - with the blessing of Aston Martin - we started the design work.

Creating the Vengeance was always going to be an epic undertaking, however, Mr Kahn was more than ready to oblige.

Our design team started with a core principle that was very prominent throughout the sketch and modelling phase, the very principle which defines Afzal Kahn’s philosophy – timeless elegance.

An extraordinary amount of love and attention went into manufacturing each model, all the way from the design to the production line.

Every inch of the Vengeance is designed for elegance and balance with every line, dimension and proportion working in harmony.

The distinctive wide spaced front grille has been machined in billet aluminium, and gives the Vengeance its unmistakable identity.

The aerodynamic front bumper is sculpted from lightweight composite and emphasises the increased width of the Vengeance.

An enlarged power bulge draws attention to the 6 litre V12 engine beneath hammer formed aluminium bonnet and flows organically into the central bulge of the roof.

Subtle surfacing details in the carbon fibre rear bumper draw attention to the distance between the tail lights and emphasise the width of the vehicle.

Wide, muscular rear haunches emphasise the power of the rear wheels and lend the Vengeance a purposeful stance on the road.

Sculpted side skirts in lightweight composite connect the widened front wings and rear wide body.

The doors continue the signature bulge from the front wings and flow into the widened rear haunches.

The widened front wings in hammer formed aluminium flow seamlessly into the bulge of the doors, creating a muscular outline.

The form of the rear bumper diffuser and vents echoes that of the front bumper to give the sense of a pure, harmonious design to the car.

Wide-set tail lights combine a timeless round graphic inspired by British and Italian coach built designs with modern LED technology.

The signature stainless steel crosshair exhausts provide a visual reference to Kahn’s history in the industry.

Polished stainless steel DLO trim along the edge of the side windows reinforces the coupe shape of the Vengeance.

The diminished rear quarter lights enhance the coupe appearance of the Vengeance.

Lines created by the bonnet power bulge are continued across the hammer formed aluminium roof, leading the eye to the powerful rear haunches and emphasising the muscular stance of the wide body.

Polished stainless steel halo surrounding the aluminium roof and rear glass draws the eye across the top of the car and highlights the width of the rear wings in relation to the cabin

The aerodynamic carbon lower bumper splitter reduces the visual mass of the front of the car, while aiding aerodynamics.

The hammer formed gilled vents are inspired by classic Aston Martin designs.

Creation

In the case of the Vengeance, the vehicle was built on a new chassis of an Aston Martin, with the original fundamental structure of the car remaining untouched.

The fact of the matter was, it took around 200 hours to assemble each model - as a point of contrast many best-selling cars take less than 50 hours to build in total.

Since it takes 18 months to build one car, only 5 models were ever created: two right-hand drive convertibles, one left-hand drive convertible, one right-hand drive coupé, and one left-hand drive coupé.

Designed with finesse, the Vengeance embodies the attention to detail Kahn Design is renowned for.

Interior

With thousands of distinctive colour combinations available, each Vengeance model is luxuriously bespoke.

Hand-made by specially trained craftsmen, meticulous levels of control and precision needed to be employed in order to achieve the perfect finish.
